Soay Sheep/Lambs




Here at Crows Cross Estate, we have 2 flocks of soay sheep.


The first flock are all pure brown soay, which every year produce upwards of 12 lambs, all of which are healthy and well cared for, we have seen 3 lambing seasons the fourth being 2017, and each year the flock continues to grow.
The second flock are a mixture of coloured soay, some producing light and dark brown lambs, and others we have had fully black lambs, we have had this flock since early 2017.

Vermin Control

When shooting , we always take safety as a priority, we ensure that any land we shoot on we know there is adequate back drops and that surrounding houses or people know what we are doing, ensuring that the land is clear or footpaths are taken into mind.

I hold a SGC and FAC , which means we have various means and ways to fix your problems and can do so in the way you need, whether that's quiet because of gun shy pets or if neighbours don't want noise, or if night time shooting is needed we have full night vision which enables us to go about without disturbing anything or anyone with lamps or noise .

Whatever the vermin, we will treat the animal with respect, and ensure that they are killed humanely and safely as quick as possible.

With over 8+ years experience with shooting, we have dealt with, Rabbits , Pigeon, Squirrel, Foxes, Deer management, and any other types of birds and vermin.

Boreay Sheep/Lambs

Here at Crows Cross, we have recently bought a flock of rare breed boreay sheep.

We have been successful this year in breeding, We have had 3 lambs in our first season, although this may not sound many, in comparison to the soay, however there are only just over 300 boreay in the uk, so 3 in retrospect is a successful year, however next year, we hope to see upwards of 6 lambs.

In order to keep bloodlines and breeding quality high swapping Rams is necessary.
